Sirius XM invites subscribers to celebrate Billy Joel’s 50 year music career on April 28, 2014. The event is labeled “A Howard Stern Production,” and will be hosted by none other than Howard Stern.
Fans eager to attend this exciting event cannot buy tickets. The only way to gain entry is by visiting siriusxm.com/billyjoeltownhall. The official contest rules state entry is limited to Sirius XM subscribers with an active subscription since March 24, 2014.
Contestants must submit their entries between 6:00 AM ET on April 7, 2014 and 3:00 PM ET on April 16, 2014. To qualify, subscribers need to submit their “most creative questions for Billy Joel.”
Only 10 lucky winners will attend the special LIVE broadcast in New York, NY on April 28, 2014. Each winner can bring one guest to this once in a life time opportunity. Transportation, however, is not included.
Winners will have the chance to ask the Piano Man himself questions during the “Town Hall” discussion and to enjoy an array of top notch musical talent. Fans need not be disheartened by the limited live audience.
The show will air midday from a currently undisclosed area on Sirius XM Howard 100 and on the “pop up” Billy Joel Channel. Joel’s channel was launched on March 26th and is scheduled to run through June 25th.
The intimate show is appropriate in light of Joel and Stern’s long time friendship. Back in March, Joel agreed to donate the proceeds of his sold-out May 9th Madison Square Garden concert to North Shore Animal League, a cause close to Howard and Beth Stern’s hearts. Peace, love, and rock & roll are on the horizon.
If you could ask Billy Joel anything, what would it be? You can share your questions in the comment section. Good luck to all of the eligible readers!
