2014 will be a busy year for the Paranormal Activity franchise.
The fifth installment of Paranormal Activity will not be released until late 2014; however, the franchise’s new spin-off Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones will be released in early January 2014.
While the plot of Paranormal Activity 5 is not known, we do know that the plot of the spin-off involves the same “found footage” storyline.
This time, the recovered footage reveals demonic possession and its affect on a small Latino community.
Over the holidays, two new clips from the upcoming film were released online.
The first clip shows a young man filming himself as he discovers something in his eye.
The second clip shows the same man searching for something in a dark room.
In order to get a better look, he sets his camera down…completely unaware that he is not alone.
The spin-off stars Andrew Jacobs, Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Gabrielle Walsh, Gloria Sandovall and Molly Ephraim.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones opens in theaters January 3, 2014.
