The MMA event of UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber 2 will take place on July 2 this year and will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Earlier, UFC 132 was expected to be a fight between BJ Penn and Jon Fitch, who had also appeared against each other in UFC 127 but the two gave up on the battle after getting injured. They were replaced by American fighters, Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.
Apart from this, the Main Card will also have a Middleweight bout between Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben, a Lightweight fight between Tito Ortiz and Ryan Bader, Carlos Condit taking on Dong Hyun Kim for the Welterweight fight and a Lightweight fight between Dennis Siver and Matt Wiman.
In the Preliminary Card fights, Evan Dunham was to fight George Sotiropoulos but fitness issues had him replaced and Rafael dos Anjos stepped in.
With Jason Miller going on to coach for The Ultimate Fighter 14, Brad Tavares came in for his fight against Aaron Simpson. In another Bantamweight fight, Brian Bowles will fight against Japanese fighter Takeya Mizugaki for the Preliminary Event.
