Up For Auction: Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster From Star Wars!

What would be the perfect gift this holiday season for the ultimate Star Wars fan?

The DL-44 Blaster prop gun from both Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi is going up for auction to the public later this month on Invaluable.com.

While the blaster was primarily featured in scenes with Han Solo (Harrison Ford), auction details indicate the gun is also likely to have been used by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), as both he and Han Solo at one point used the same type of weapon.

To date, the non-firing gun appears to be in original filming condition, exhibiting only general wear and tear.

Purchasing the DL-44 Blaster, unfortunately, will not come cheap. Starting bids for the item will begin at $200,000.

The estimated price range is $200,000-$300,000.

Along with the blaster, the winning bidder will also receive a letter of authenticity.

The item’s description states: “To our knowledge this is the only known example of this type of blaster in private hands. This is a truly incredible item of motion picture history and quite possibly the most exciting science fiction weapon to have been offered for public auction.”

Bidding for the blaster begins December 21 at 11 AM PST.

Good luck to all bidders and…may the force with you!
