Throughout the rest of this month and next, shoppers considering U.S. Cellular wireless service can ‘test drive’ the carrier for one week for free.
The free test drive program is only available in select markets. Locations include Medford, Ore., Knoxville, Tenn., Greenville, N.C., and others. Shoppers can visit U.S. Cellular’s Test Drive page for additional locations.
A representative from U.S. Cellular told Consumer Press that the program is being tested from now through May.
The rep said “Consumers do not need to sign a contract to participate in the Network Test Drive and there is no cost or commitment. Customers will receive a device to test U.S. Cellular’s network for free for seven days to ensure that they get exceptional coverage wherever they live, work and spend their time. They will return the device following the test drive period.”
The phones available for a test drive will be the Motorola Electrify M or Samsung Chrono 2.
Of course, the test drive program is not the only news coming out of US Cellular.
Earlier today we reported that the wireless provider is now taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a May 14 shipping date. Those who pre-order the S4 will also receive a free S View Flip Cover, according to U.S. Cellular’s pre-order page.
Will you take up US Cellular’s offer of a free test drive, and pre-order an S4 if you like the service?
