Verizon Galaxy Nexus To Get Android Jelly Bean Update Soon

Reports indicate that Verizon is preparing to roll out an Android Jelly Bean update for their Galaxy Nexus smartphones.

Droid Life confirmed the authenticity of the update, and also mentions Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners would be updated to the latest version of Android Jelly Bean, 4.2.2.

The update will bring a lot of new features, with one of the major being the new on-board radio.

A member of XDA Developers, the den of Android development community, has released a screenshot that shows how the update looks on the handset.

The same member revealed previous Verizon Galaxy Nexus OTA updates in the past. He reports the new radio seems to work well after receiving the update.

Other features users will receive include lockscreen widgets and Photosphere. The update is expected to roll out to users in the next couple of days.
