Verizon has a reputation for being slow when it comes to releasing major smartphones, unless they’re an exclusive to the carrier.
The latest example comes in the form of the Galaxy S4, which has already been available at T-Mobile and AT&T for a couple of weeks.
Previous reports stated Galaxy S4 won’t arrive at Verizon before May 30th.
The good news, however, is that Verizon has changed the launch date to May 23rd, which is a week ahead of the previous announced date.
For those who need to relive the specs, the Galaxy S4 comes with 2 GB RAM, a 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 4.99-inch display at 1080p, an Andreno 320 GPU, a 2 mega-pixel front camera, a 13 mega-pixel back camera, a microSD slot for expansion, and three storage options: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB.
The OS is Android 4.2.2.
Shoppers will be able to buy through Verizon’s retail outlets or their online store at a price of $200, with a two-year contract.
