Best Buy has opened up pre-orders for Verizon Galaxy S4.
However, shoppers will need to visit one of Best Buy’s brick and mortar stores to participate.
Gotta Be Mobile and Droid-Life audiences received texts from Best Buy, which informed them the handset was up for pre-ordering, but it’s only an ‘in-store’ offer.
It wasn’t mentioned when the device will be shipping.
Verizon itself earlier made an announcement that the handset will be shipping sometime in May, so buyers pre-ordering the device through the retailer will likely receive it sometime next month.
There is no mention of the price as well, but it’s expected to be near AT&T’s offerings, if Verizon wants to remain competitive in the carrier race.
Galaxy S4 comes with plenty of features, including a 4.99 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1920×1080, three internal SD storage options (16, 32, 64), 2 GB of RAM, and Adreno 320 GPU, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or Exynos 5 Octa processor, a 13 MP rear camera, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
