When it comes to very last minute Christmas gifts, gift cards are a choice – but not the only choice.
Amazon offers gift cards for buying items on Amazon that can be either sent by email or printed out. Prices range from 50¢ up to $2000.
They also have a huge number of gift cards to other shops as well. There’s gift cards for everything from Jiffy Lube to Starbucks and Sephora. Cards are available for Steak ‘n Shake, Panda Express, Hooters, Carrabba’s, Nordstrom, Whole Foods, AMC and Regal theaters, Southwest Airlines, the Cheesecake Factory, Applebee’s, Kmart, Sears, Airbnb, and many, many more. One more option over at Amazon is an Amazon Prime membership, which can be gifted from here. Amazon Prime is much more than free 2-day shipping. Prime members also have access to a huge number of shows and movies on Amazon Instant video, streaming ad-free music, unlimited photo storage on the Amazon cloud, and free books through the Kindle Reading Library and Kindle First.
Of course, Amazon also has Kindle books which can be ordered online and gifted immediately or scheduled for a specific time on Christmas day. They can be read on any device with a Kindle app.
Moving away from Amazon, the Google Play store has gift cards which can be used for apps, music, movies, and books starting at $5.
Apple has gift cards for iTunes music and apps from $30 to $120.
Barnes and Noble has gift cards for books and apps both online and in stores from $10 to $350, and also Nook books that can be read on Nook devices.
Netflix gift cards can be given as a last minute gift idea. Netflix subscriptions start at $7.99/month. Surprisingly, Netflix gift subscriptions aren’t available directly from Netflix, but they can be had through…. Amazon.
Hulu Plus gift subscriptions are available from $15 to $100. Hulu Plus monthly plans start at $7.99/month.
The Dollar Shave Club offers gift cards from $35 to $125. According to their site, a $65 gift card is enough for the receiver to get 4x razors for 6 months, 6 oz shave butter, 3.4 ox post shave, and 3.4 oz of hair gel.
And for the tech nerd in your life, Best Buy has gift cards from $5 to $500.
