Vizio Tablets Now Available For Pre-order – At Just One Site

The Vizio tablet was first shown in the last CES, with Android Gingerbread loaded on it. Today it has become available for pre-order. The price for a new Vizio tablet is $379.99 or $399.99, depending on which package the consumer selects.

The $399.99 Vizio tablet will come with two accessories, one is a 16GB microSD card, and the other is a folio style case, which can be used as a kick stand too. The $379 version is just the tablet by itself. The Vizio tablet features a unique screen size of 8 inches, which may be liked by many users.  It has a 1024×768 pixels capacitive display. Besides the display, it features 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. This is not a cutting edge device, but it fulfills the usual demands of a tablet user. It is a solid tablet.

Shipping a Gingerbread tablet in the rally of Honeycomb tablets might not be a good idea, but looking at the present Honeycomb tablets’ compatibility problems, it should be good for now. This tablet has all the usual sensors, a VGA front camera, and a good long battery life of 10 hours (of normal use).

According to the Vizio webpage, the tablets are going to be shipped starting July 18. Pre-orders are being taken through Vizio.com. We will keep an eye on Best Buy, Amazon, and some of the other major retailers and do an update when they are available at those as well.
