Walking Dead Marathon Starts New Year’s Eve & Goes For 43 Hours Straight!

AMC will be broadcasting a The Walking Dead marathon starting on New Year’s Eve.

The marathon launches at 9am (EST) on December 31, 2013.

Unlike previous AMC marathons we have covered here on CP, this one goes straight through the entire series to date without a break!

That’s right – no filler content and no infomercials where a fan can get some sleep. We’re talking 43 hours straight of The Walking Dead.

The marathon starts with the pilot episode Days Gone By. It wraps 43 hours later at 5am, January 2. The final episode in the marathon is the season 4 mid-season finale which originally aired on December 1, 2013, Too Far Gone.

The marathon will include behind the scenes clips and interviews with the stars and support staff of The Walking Dead.

The second half of season 4 is scheduled to premiere on February 9, 2014.

As for alternatives to watching the full marathon – Netflix has the first three seasons of The Walking Dead available on their streaming service. Netflix offers a free one month trial to new members.

All episodes of The Walking Dead up to the most recent are available for purchase through Amazon Instant Video and iTunes.

AMC offers a selection of full episodes through it site, but they are only available to certain cable/satellite TV subscribers and at the moment the pickings are rather slim. Only three episodes from the first season are available.

Will you be tuning in to the marathon?

Can’t wait for premiere of the second half of season 4?
