While everyone is busy talking about the release of Iron Man 3, which is only a week away, Walmart has teamed up with Warner Bros. in an effort to promote the new Superman movie ‘Man of Steel’.
The retail giant announced on Wednesday that some fans will have a chance to see the new movie a daybefore the official release.
The movie, directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan, has been given a release date of June 14th.
But shoppers who wish to see the movie a day earlier can buy a ticket to an early screening by visiting select Walmart stores next month.
More than 3,700 Walmart stores across US will be taking part in the promotion. Shoppers can buy as many as four tickets. Almost 1 million tickets will be available nationwide.
The tickets go on sale May 18th at 8 a.m. and will remain on sale until the tickets are gone.
The tickets, including some for the 3D version, are for screenings that will take place on 13th June at 7 p.m.
Shoppers buying tickets from Walmart also get a bonus – a digital comic book written by David Goyer, the screenwriter of Man of Steel.
