Spidey senses everywhere are tingling!
Earlier today, Sony Pictures released the first trailer for director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Andrew Garfield returns to reprise his role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, along with Emma Stone as Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy.
The long-awaited superhero sequel also stars Jaime Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Sally Field and Denis Leary.
The trailer features Peter Parker struggling to find a balance between a normal life and his new responsibilities as Spider-Man.
Eventually, Parker realizes the amount of enemies he will make if he continues to try and save people.
The clip also briefly touches on the supposed secret past of Parker’s parents, a story line that was left out of the original 2002 Spider-Man franchise.
Overall, Spidey fans will be excited that the trailer lasts for nearly three-minutes and features appearances by not one, not two, but THREE infamous Spider-Man villains – Electro, Rhino, and the Green Goblin.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in theaters May 2, 2014.
