The next annual Purge is about to commence!
Universal Pictures has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming horror flick The Purge: Anarchy.
Written and directed by James DeMonaco, The Purge: Anarchy is the sequel to the highly successful 2013 film The Purge, also written and directed by DeMonaco.
While the first film focused on one family barricaded in their own home in order to survive the Purge, a 12-hour period in which all crime is legalized, the second installment will feature several story lines and characters, all of whom are stuck outside during the chaos.
The trailer includes a glimpse of one couple stranded on the road after their car breaks down and a man who risks his own life in order to help them make it through the night.
The Purge: Anarchy stars Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, Carmen Ejogo and Keith Stanfield.
The thriller is scheduled to open in theaters July 18, 2014.
