After an action packed weekend, the Paralympics begin their full week of competition.
This morning the athletes will once again be aiming for gold in venues in and around Sochi. The early morning broadcast will once again return to the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center.
This challenging and exciting venue will welcome the discipline of Super G for the first time. Paralympic Super G alpine skiers need to possess a combination of speed and agility as they try to become the fastest through the course.
Today is ladies day on the mountain as the women will once again compete in three different divisions: visually impaired, standing and sitting. It is also medals day as medals for all divisions will be handed out.
In the visually impaired competition, the United States is once again represented by Danelle Umstead.
Three women will wear the stars and stripes in the standing division. The trio includes Allison Jones who also competed in the downhill competition over the weekend.
The sitting division will also feature three athletes from the United States. Alana Nichols and Laurie Stephens are included in this group, fresh off their medal winning downhill runs over the weekend. Alana won silver and Laurie took home the bronze.
Coverage of the action from Rosa Khutor begins in two hours and will run until 5 am on NBCSN. The station will also broadcast daily coverage from noon until 3 pm.
