The medal winning action continues in and around Sochi.
Paralympic athletes from around the world continue their athletic quests today. There are a variety of events ahead today for fans to enjoy.
The overnight coverage on NBCSN will focus on the biathlon from the Laura Cross-Country Ski and Biathlon Center. This event combines the skills of cross-country skiing with those of an excellent marksmen. Athletes with physical disabilities as well as those with visual impairments will compete in this event.
This morning both the men and the women will take to the course. The men will compete along a 12.5 km course while the women will face a 10 km course.
The only Unite States women’s athlete on course today is Oskana Masters who will compete in the sitting division.
On the men’s side four athletes will represent the United States. Three will compete in the sitting division with the final competing in the standing.
Medals will be handed out for these events. Live coverage runs from 2-5:30 am on NBCSN.
NBCSN will also broadcast taped coverage of the United States-Russia sledge hockey game from 3-5 pm.
The sport of ice sledge hockey is much like its able-bodied counterpart. Instead of skates however, players use double bladed sledges to move around the ice. The action is no less fast and furious though.
Today is the final day of group play in the Paralympic tournament. TeamUSA.org will provide live streaming coverage of games including the United States against host Russia beginning at 8:30 am.
