What to Watch – Paralympics Day 8

The final full day of competition is jam packed from start to finish.

Today marks the final day full day of competition in the Sochi Paralympic games. Medals will be handed out in many different sports including sled hockey.

Perhaps the biggest news about today’s broadcasting schedule was announced yesterday. NBC has changed its broadcasting plans for the sled hockey gold medal game. Instead of showing the game on a tape delay as it was originally, scheduled the game will now be shown live.

NBC will carry the game between the United States and Russia live beginning at noon eastern. The United States is coming into the game looking for revenge. Russia was the only team to beat the US during the round robin portion of the tournament.

Prior to the live hockey coverage, NBCSN will be broadcasting live coverage of cross-country skiing events beginning at 3:30 am.  It is mixed relay day at the Laura Cross-country and Biathlon Center.

Following the hockey coverage, NBCSN will also broadcast taped coverage the wheelchair curling final beginning at 6:30 pm.

There is also a full day of action that will be streaming on TeamUSA.org. Action will begin with the wheelchair curling semifinal matches at 1:30 this morning.

Alpine skiing fans get one more glimpse at Rosa Khutor when the men take the mountain for the giant slalom competition. All divisions will be competing for medals.

The sled hockey bronze medal game will also be streamed starting at 5 am.
