What’s On TV Christmas 2015 – Holiday Movies, Disney Parade, NBA & More

There’s something for everyone this holiday as part of television programming for Christmas Day 2015.

In addition to holiday movie classics, there’s the annual Disney Christmas Parade and Celebration, several NBA games, Andy Griffith and Dr. Who Christmas specials and other family-friendly movies.

The 32nd Annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade and Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration will air nationwide from 10am – 12pm ET on ABC Christmas Day 2015 (in Canada on CBC network and worldwide on American Forces Network). Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts will be lead host with Jesse Palmer serving as correspondent from Main Street U.S.A. Janel Parrish of Pretty Little Liars will be the music correspondent accompanied by Stitch from Cinderella Castle.

Floats and characters featured in the Annual Disney Christmas Day Parade for 2015 include Frozen, Toy Story, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inside Out and Finding Dory.

Musical performers set to sing variations of Disney classics and Christmas songs during Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration 2015 include: David Foster, Seal, Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo, Reba McEntire, Andy Grammer, Charlie Puth, Tori Kelly, Charles Perry and the cast of Descendants.

Plenty of NBA action will be taking place on Christmas Day with five games scheduled beginning at noon and running through late evening. To add to the festive spirit, players will be sporting special Christmas uniforms and socks.

The schedule of NBA games, including network information and live streaming options, for Christmas Day 2015 is as follows:

New Orleans Pelicans at Miami Heat: Noon ET on ESPN; with a cable subscription stream at watchespn.com
Chicago Bulls at Oklahoma City Thunder: 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC; stream online for free at watchespn.com
Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors: 5 p.m. ET on ABC; stream online for free at watchespn.com
San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets: 8 p.m. ET on ESPN; with a cable subscription stream at watchespn.com
L.A. Clippers at L.A. Lakers: 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN; with a cable subscription stream at watchespn.com

No NFL or NHL games will be played on Christmas Day 2015.

The Andy Griffith Show Christmas Special will begin at 8pm ET on CBS for Christmas 2015 with a series of colorized episodes packed together: “The Christmas Story” and “The Pickle Story”.

The Doctor Who Christmas Special airs at 9pm ET, on BBC America, Christmas Day 2015.

HDNET Movies is offering a block of family-friendly movies for Christmas Day 2015 beginning at 4:15pm ET:

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl – 4:15 p.m.
Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium – 6 p.m.
Hook – 7:35 p.m.
Finding Neverland – 10 p.m.
