Whole Foods Market announced Monday that it has formed a partnership with one-hour grocery delivery service Instacart and will roll out grocery delivery services to 15 cities across the United States in the next month.
Shoppers in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Boulder, Colorado, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. will be able to order groceries from Whole Foods to be delivered in as little as an hour within the coming months, according to a press release from the company.
Customers can place their delivery orders from Whole Foods via Instacart.com or the Instacart app. Whole Foods is also the first retail grocer to offer in-store pickup via Instacart as well.
Whole Foods is the latest grocer to partner with Instacart, joining others such as Costco, Kroger, The Food Emporium, and Super Fresh.
Shoppers will be able to choose between one-hour and two-hour delivery speeds for $5.99 and $3.99 respectively. A $99 annual Instacart Express membership waives the delivery fee for all orders over $35.
Between this and Amazon’s recent same-day delivery expansion across the U.S., you’ll barely need to leave your house for your everyday essentials!
