Best Buy has dropped the price of the Wii U Console Basic Set to $249.99 for a limited time.
That’s $50 off its regular $299.99 price. The deal is good until April 1st.
Browsing our regular haunts, we found that Best Buy is the only retailer offering the Will U Basic set for this price. At Walmart, Target, GameStop and Fry’s, the set is selling for $299.
An Amazon, a third party seller has the Wii U Basic Set listed at $275, plus $12.95 shipping.
Best buy offers free shipping and the set is in stock at most of the stores we checked (11 out of 12).
The Wii U Basic Set is just what is says it is – ‘basic.’
It’s the 8GB version, and it only comes in white. The charging cradle and copy of Nintendo Land that comes with the Deluxe Set is not included.
However, the Nintendo eShop has been giving some great deals on downloadable games and that might just make up for not having Nintendo Land.
The Wii U Basic Set includes the console, the GamePad controller with stylus, a sensor bar, a console AC adapter, a GamePad AC adapter, and an HDMI cable.
In addition to the price drop on the console, there are also a few games currently on sale through Best Buy:
- Assassin’s Creed 3– $39.99
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 2– $39.99
- Ninja Gaiden: Razor’s Edge– $39.99
