As we are approaching the 85th annual Academy Awards, the writers were honored at the The Writers Guild Award this Sunday night at the JW Marriott L.A. Live in Los Angeles and the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City.
The WGA honored the best writing in film, television, radio, new media, and video games.
Zero Dark Thirty’s writer Mark Boal won the Writers Guild of America award for Best Original Screenplay, while Argo’s writer Chris Terrio took home the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
In the television category, Lena Dunham’s Girls took home the Best New TV Series.
Breaking Bad’s writers won for Best TV Drama Series, while the writers for Louie won Best Comedy Series.
