X-Files Game, Hanabi Deluxe, Firefly Reprint & More In Stores

The X-Files Board Game from IDW and Pandasaurus Games is available at Funagain Games for $47.99 and for preorder at CoolStuffInc.com for $39.99. All of the two to five players except one work together to defeat the Cigarette Smoking Man, played by one person alone.

The deluxe edition of the award-winning Hanabi is also in stock at Funagain Games, and is selling for $39.99. Other stores have it listed as available for preorder. The deluxe edition uses tiles instead of cards. In Hanabi, players work together to create a fireworks display. The catch: They can’t look at their own tiles.

Murano is a two- to four-player game from Mayfair Games. Players take gondolas around the seven islands of Murano, off the coast of Italy, buying shops, making glass, and selling it to tourists. Amazon.com has a couple of copies for $51.93.

Agricola designer Uwe Rosenberg’s Fields of Arle from Z-Man Games is on store shelves. Players place workers to develop their estate and expand their territory. Funagain Games is selling it for $63.99. CoolStuffInc.com has it listed for $54.99, but it is currently out of stock.

Speaking of Rosenberg and Agricola, a new France deck, which can be combined with the other decks of the base game or used as its own expansion, is available from Z-Man Games. Miniature Market’s online store is selling it for $10.34.

Carcassonne Gold Rush, also from Z-Man, is a standalone version of Carcassonne. It has two to five players laying tiles to build railroads and cities, and to trade with Native Americans. CoolStuffInc.com currently has one of the best prices on the game, at $23.99.

LudiCreations’ Byzantio is a bluffing and deduction game for two to four players set in the 11th century. The game comes with a two-sided board, allowing for a second game, Nekken, set in a fantasy world. The game has a suggested price of $55, but Miniature Market is currently selling it for $36.85.

The much-anticipated Machi Koro Harbor Expansion from IDW Games and Pandasaurus Games is in stock at Funagain Games for $19.99. CoolStuffInc and Miniature Market have it available for preorder for $13.49 and $13.39, respectively.

Several games reappeared in stores this week, as well. They include Gravwell: Escape from the 9th Dimension, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Targi, Clash of Cultures, Pandemic, Glass Road, and Firefly: The Game.

Shipping at online game stores varies. Funagain Games has free domestic shipping on orders of $80 or more; Miniature Market at $99 or more; and CoolStuffInc.com at $100 or more. Amazon.com’s shipping prices depend on whether a game is purchased directly from Amazon or through another party.
