There’s good news for those who own an Android-based Xperia device and a DualShock 3. You would soon be able to play your favorite Android and PS Mobile games with your controller.
Sony is planning to make DualShock 3 compatible with Xperia handsets, which is Sony’s own branded mobile range.
The DualShock 3 is meant to be used on Sony’s PS3 originally.
Images have also surfaced of the upcoming Sony Xperia SP, showcasing its settings menu. There’s a new option of ‘DualShock 3 wireless controller’.
The new option will allow the smartphone to be paired easily with DualShock 3 via USB-OTG and Bluetooth.
Initially, a USB connection will be required, but once that is done, users can straight away connect with Bluetooth.
This is good news for those who are used to playing games with DualShock 3, as they will be able to play at their top levels.
However, there’s no word on whether this feature will roll out to all Xperia handsets.
