Though there are many high-end smartphones offered by U.S carriers, not everyone can afford to pay for them.
Consumers on a limited budget are looking for devices that offer decent features at a cost-friendly price.
That’s the target audience that US Cellular is going after with the ZTE Director.
The price of the handset is only a penny… with a 2 year contract with the carrier.
ZTE Director comes with a single-core 1 GHz processor, 4G of internal SD storage, 512 MB Ram, 3 MP camera, microSD slot for memory expansion and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The display size is a decent 3.5 inches.
The shape of the device is somewhat similar to ZTE Fury, which was launched on Sprint back in March of last year. However, features are on the high-end compared to Fury, which has Gingerbread 2.3.
The outright price of the handset without a contract is $99.
What do you think? Good price considering the features?
