The 85th annual All-Star Game takes place tonight at Target field in Minneapoils, Minesotta, home of the Twins and this year’s event should be memorable on several levels.

Fox 5 will be covering the game, starting with the pre-game show starting at 7:30 P.M. (EST).  The first pitch is expected to be thrown at around 8 P.M. (EST).

Live streaming will also be provided through and through their MLB At-Bat app for iPhone and Android (both require a premium subscription).

This year’s All-Star game will be special, as it will be future Hall-of-Fame shortstop Derek Jeter’s final All-star game since he is retiring at the end of the year.

Although there has been no official word as of this writing, Major League Baseball and it’s players are expected to have something during the game to honor him and his tremendous impact on the game.

Jeter is one of the few players in the sport to be universally respected for both his talents and his conduct off the field.

Nike made a commercial to pay homage to him, titled “Re2pect“, which will air during tonight’s commercials.

Tonight’s game will once again decide home-field advantage of the World Series, to the irritation to most of the fans since it is widely felt that an inconsequential game like this should not decide something as important as home-field advantage.

Fans will also once again be able to help decide the games MVP by voting during the game.  Watch the game for exact details.
