According to reports, a gold colored iPhone will be released by Apple this September.
You can find photo’s of it on various sites – but those are all fake “mock ups.”
No one that’s not locked into a really tight contract with Apple has seen the new gold iPhones. But John Paczkowski, over at AllThingsD, apparently found a leak.
Paczkowski says his source reports the new iphone will be available in an “elegant” gold tone color.
“Think champagne, not ingot,” said his source.
Apple has not commented on the report.
Apple devices are known for being either black or white. If Apple does reveal a gold iPhone – this will a groundbreaking launch. Watch for a major rush on pre-orders… and really long lines at Apple stores the morning it releases.

Rumors suggest a September 10th reveal date.
Traditionally, Apple begins taking pre-orders within hours of the reveal. The official in-store release happens about a week later.
Early pre-orders will be timed to arrive in shoppers hands the same day the phone arrives in stores.
