Audi has redesigned its popular Q7 SUV for the 2017 model year.
Enhancing an already dynamic vehicle cannot be easy, but the engineers have managed it.
Audi is known for their high quality luxurious interiors and the new Q7 will not disappoint.
First off the SUV claims to have the largest interior in the segment offering cargo space of 31.4 behind the rear seats and a total seat down space of 73.7 cu ft in the 5-seat model.
Adding to the convenience are the optional sliding second row and electronically folding third row.
The second row outer seats also fold up to make accessing the third row a breeze.
On the tech front the Q7 also has you covered. There is an optional MMI Navigation system that will display the map in the drivers gauge cluster; an inductive charging phone box, rear seat mobile Audi tablets and either a Bose or Bang & Olufsen stereo systems.
The Bang & Olufsen system should be incredible, it uses 23 speakers, 2 of which pop up out of the dash, and has an output 1,920 watts, but the Bose 558 watt19 speaker system will be more than enough for most.
Another highlight is the broad and graduated range of new driver assistance systems – including adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, the predictive efficiency assistant, the trailer assist and the cross-traffic assist in the rear.
There will be 3 powertrains available to move this lightweight and agile family SUV along with ease.
The supercharged 3.0 TFSI V6 with 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque is the standard engine. The optional 3.0 TDI V6 with 258 hp and an massive 442 lb ft of torque.
The 3.0L TFSI gasoline engine is said to offer 30.5 mpg with the diesel returning an impressive 41.3 mpg.
For the consumer worried about their carbon footprint the Q7 3.0 TDI e-tron Quattro is the world’s first plug-in hybrid with a six-cylinder diesel engine.
Total system output is a stout 373 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque and it is capable of driving on electricity only for up to34.8 miles. But the most impressive feat is the 130.7 mpg it is rumoured to return.
The down side is no word yet as to when or even if we can get our hands on the hybrid.
Offering space for the entire family and then some, opulent comfort, handsome styling, segment leading technology and POWER the 2017 Audi Q7 should work to enhance the brands sales.
