The price of Amazon’s 7″ Kindle Fire HD has been discounted by $30 during Amazon’s July 4th, Independence Day, sale.
It seems like Kindles are going on sale more often these days. The last sale Amazon had on them was earlier this month, when they knocked $20 off in a Father’s Day sale.
With ‘special offers,’ the 16GB version costs $169 during the July 4th sale. The 32Gb version is $199.
To get either version without the ‘special offers’ advertising costs an additional $15.
The sale is only for the 7″ Kindle Fire HD. It does not extend to the non-HD 7″ Kindle Fire nor the 8.9″ version.
As of last month, Amazon also includes 500 Amazon Coins, valued at $5, with the purchase of a Kindle Fire. The virtual coins can be used to purchase Kindle Fire games and apps.
Amazon does not provide an end date for this Kindle Fire sale. We contacted them to ask about this, but have not received a response by publication time. We will update this story if that information comes in.
Amazon suggests two additional items during the Kindle Fire HD ordering process. One is an accelerated wall charger called the Kindle PowerFast. It costs $19.99, but knocks an additional $5 the price of a Kindle when they are ordered together. The second item is a 2 year SquareTrade extended warranty, with accident coverage, for $49.99.
Will you be taking advantage of the July 4th Kindle Fire HD special? And will you be getting these extras?
