Today Amazon.com announced that for the eighth consecutive year that it has ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for the 2012 holiday shopping season.
This distinguished position is bestowed by the ForeSee annual holiday e-retail satisfaction index.
ForeSee surveyed more than 24,000 shoppers between Black Friday and Christmas day. The survey asked questions of shoppers and had them rate their satisfaction with top 100 retailers.
This year, Amazon.com scored an 88 and was the highest ever achieved by any retailer in the ForeSee holiday surveys.
To go along with this distinction, Amazon.com also reported today that 2012 was the most profitable holiday season ever for the online giant. Over 26 million items were ordered globally, peaking at 306 items per second. Pretty impressive!
