Recently, Rockstar games disappeared from the list of third-party game developers for Sony’s PS4.
This led to speculation that GTA 5 may not come to PS4, though the possibility of running used games would allow fans to play one way or another.
However, an analyst Michael Pachter of Webush Securities believes the open-world game would ‘eventually’ come to next-generation consoles; PS4 and Xbox 720. According to video gamer’s report, he says the ports aren’t scheduled to release at launch.
Apart from Michael Pachter, Doug Creutz of Cowen & Company also speculates Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, may publish GTA 5 on Xbox 720 and PS4, which would reduce the impact on the sales of the next-generation consoles.
Currently, retailers like Amazon are taking pre-orders of GTA 5 for Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version of the fifth-generation Grand Theft Auto is expected as well.
GTA 5 is scheduled to release on September 17th.
What are your thoughts? Would you buythe next-gen consoles if GTA 5 isn’t there? Feel free to leave comments.
