Apple Reminds Shoppers to Save During Tax Holidays This Month

Shoppers headed to the Apple Store online may have noticed a reminder that savings abound during tax free weekends in nine states this weekend.

Apple fans in select states have received promotional emails from the Apple Store with a bold graphic titled “How to get a tax break on Apple products.” Visitors are then taken to a dedicated tax holiday savings page. There, consumers can click on their individual state names to find out exactly when and how they can save on Apple products.

Shoppers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina and Tennessee can save on Apple products this weekend. The Apple Store even includes a note for Massachusetts consumers that their tax holiday is still pending legislation.

Apple also intends to honor tax free sales online. “When shopping online, sales tax will appear during checkout, but you’ll see the correct tax amount on your email order confirmation,” the Apple Store notes on their website.

With back to school shopping and sales underway, Apple fans can get an extra bonus in addition to tax free sales this weekend in these select states: Apple is currently offering shoppers a free $100 Apple Store Gift Card with the purchase of a Mac for college. Apple is also offering a free $50 Apple Store Gift Card with the purchase of an iPad or iPhone for college.
