This weekend’s Best Buy Labor Day Sale features $50 off all iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 models.
The special is available this weekend only, Friday through Monday.
The Labor Day Sale discount requires signing up for a two-year contract with a carrier through Best Buy. The sale may be in anticipation of a possible new iPhone being announced by Apple on September 10th.
The Best Buy Labor Day Sale puts the iPhone 5 16GB model at $149.99. An iPhone 5 with 32GB clocks in at $249. The iPhone 4S with 16GB is nearly being given away at $49; the 32GB and 64GB models are $149 and $199 respectively.
Best Buy offered a similar sale just two weeks ago with a trade-in special, but this looks to be an even larger discount than that sale offered.
The $50 off the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 prices looks to be at Best Buy only. Pricing at the major cellular carriers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint) offer the same phone at the non-discounted price with one exception – Sprint is literally giving away the iPhone 4S 16GB model for $0 with a two-year contract.
Otherwise, Best Buy has the lowest prices advertised for this weekend.
Best Buy also offers a trade in program. Shoppers trading in an iPhone 4 or 4S could get as much as an additional $100 off the purchase of an iPhone 5.
