Chevrolet has added another Corvette to the mix, the 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition.
Chevrolet only plans on releasing 500 later this year, making this a limited Edition.
The purpose of the Z06 C7.R Edition is to display the genetic similarities between the C7 race cars and road going Corvettes.
It will be available in Coupé or Convertible form and in one of two colours, black or Corvette Racing Yellow, with matching interior and exterior accents.
The C7.R Edition will include the Z07 performance package that delivers carbon ceramic brakes, with yellow calipers hidden behind black wheels that sport the Corvette racing logo, yellow stripes and are wrapped in super sticky Michelin PS Cup 2 tires.
Adding to the racy look is the carbon fibre ground effect package, and interior trim, as well as the competition sport seats, steering wheel and shifter.
If all that is not enough to convince your neighbour just how special your Vette is, then the numbered interior plaque displaying the build number; starting with VIN 700001 will.
The C7.R Edition blends 650-hp from the supercharged LT4 engine with a functional aero kit and track worthy suspension to create a track monster that is tame enough to drive to work.
This will no doubt become a collector car.
