Chrome Suddenly Crashing On Startup? Comodo Releases Fix

“Google Chrome has stopped working”

If you just got that message when opening your Chrome browser, you’re not alone.

Users of Google’s Chrome browser and Comodo’s anti-virus/firewall software have flocked to Google and Comodo help forums over the last few days with the same problem.

As we reported earlier, it appears that the most recent version of Chrome, 45.0.2454, has a conflict with Comodo that causes Chrome to crash as it opens. The issue has been reported by users of Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Though Google has not responded to users complaining about the crashes in their forum, Comodo has. Several hours ago they announced the release of Comodo Internet Security V8.2.0.4703 (Chrome Hotfix).

On that link there are updates for three versions of Comodo – Comodo Internet SecurityComodo Antivirus and Comodo Firewall.

Comodo software can also be updated from within the programs.

Did your Chrome browser stop working, freeze up, crash over the last week?

Have you downloaded and tried Comodo’s fix?
