Django Unchained/Zorro Crossover? Yes!

A Django Unchained / Zorro crossover will probably happen at Sony Pictures. E-mails from Quentin Tarantino and Sony Pictures, Amy Pascal, have proved both parties are looking forward to the project.

We’re privy to this information due to the massive Sony hacks that have taken place since late November.

In a Sept. 28th e-mail, Pascal tells Tarantino she wants to discuss a potential Django/Zorro crossover film. In addition to that, Amy tells him she wants to work on a movie called The Dion Brothers while making reference to Tarantino’s current film being shot, The Hateful Eight.

The e-mail from Amy to Tarantino was written in all caps, for some reason —

HELLO AMY P HERE… HOW ARE YOU? I WANNA TALK ABOUT DJANGO/ZORRO WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE IT …
ALSO I STILL WANNA DO THE DION BROTHERS AND JUST BECAUSE I DIDN’T GET TO BE A PART OF HATEFUL DOESN’T MEAN IM EVER GONNA STOP WANTING TO WORK WITH YOU (AND HARVEY) BEST ALWAYS…AMY.

Tarantino replied with a:

“Django/Zorro could be really fun!”

I think this is right in Quentin’s wheelhouse. Django was great, and it seems he could do some really cool things with throwing Zorro in the mix.
