Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom Celebrates 130 Years of Family Fun!

Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom just celebrated 130 years as a great place for family fun.

The park still has “two great parks for the price of one,” which is the company’s slogan. Dorney Park has some new ways for all to have more fun.  Dinos After Dark, Snake Pit and Fast Lane Plus, add more options for everyone.

Dinos After Dark gives attendees a chance to see over 40 animatronic dinosaurs in the dark. This event takes place at the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit in the park. At the end of the adventure, you get to have some s’mores. Tickets are only $6 for the show.

Wildwater Kingdom has expanded with the new Snake Pit. This section has six new rides, giving goers more ways to stay cool. First you have the 65 ft tall Python Plummet, which are “three free-fall body slides.” The Boa Blasters are twin tube rides taking you through twists and turns. The Constrictor is 449 feet long with four 360 loops. With these six rides, the Kingdom now has 28 rides.

For $45.00, Fast Lane Plus wristbands lets you bypass the lines on 15 rides, including the  roller coasters Steel Force, Talon and the new Snake Pit.

The little tykes get to have their fun at Planet Snoopy. This section features Charlie Brown’s Wind-Up, a circular swing ride and Snoopy’s Moon Bounce (featured above), which is an enclosed bouncy ride.

I enjoyed my time at Dorney Park in June.

Let me know if you plan to go to Dorney Park by end of summer.
