Green Monday 2012 – Shopping Tips & Strategies

Green Monday will be here in just a few days and there are some great deals to be had.

Some retailers are suggesting that this weekend is the best time to begin shopping for the 2012 Green Monday deals. Shoppers who wait until Green Monday may miss out on some of the best deals out there due to limited supplies on certain goods.

The International Business Times has reported that Green Monday 2012 is expected to, “very likely break last year’s record of $1.1 billion” in sales.

Here are three simple suggestions you can use to get the most out of this Green Monday and not have buyer’s remorese on Tuesday.

1)  Most online retailers have already posted their Green Monday deals, so now is the time to shop.  Amazon, Walmart, Sears, Toys ‘R Us, Home Depot, and Best Buy have all posted their deals at the time of this writing.  There are less than three weeks until Christmas.  At many sites you can add items to your online cart ahead of time and be ready to place the order Green Monday morning.

2)  Do your research so that you are sure your amazing “Green Monday” deal is truly a deal.  Research prices on competing websites and check local retailers over the weekend to be sure.

3)  Search wisely by using search terms such as, “Amazon Green Monday deals,” or “Walmart Green Monday deals.”  This will save you time and will get you to the best deals on the web.

If you have never heard of Green Monday, here is a little background information.  The term Green Monday was coined by eBay as a descriptor of that company’s best sales day.  This has traditionally been the second Monday in December, but in recent years, it has become the Monday that is at least 10 days before Christmas.
