HP TouchPad Tablet $99 Fire Sale Not Completely Over Yet: Availability Report

Most online and in-store retailers taking part in the HP TouchPad Tablet fire sale are sold out. But there’s good news! A few retailers have not yet begun their sales!

Even though Best Buy announced that they were planning to pull their stock of HP TouchPads from the shelves and send them back to Hewlett-Packard, Saturday evening they took back their previous statement. Instead of canceling their sale, they immediately began selling them online and in-store. Unfortunately, Best Buy is one of the many resellers that have sold out of all of their HP TouchPads in only a few hours.

Other retailers have decided to follow Best Buy’s original plan, send their entire stock of HP TouchPad tablets back to Hewlett-Packard due to the current high demand of the device. Even though the Hewlett-Packard website states that they are out of stock of the HP TouchPad, once they receive shipments of them from the retailers sending the device back, Hewlett-Packard will make the TouchPads available for purchase on their online store once again.

Those interested in purchasing either the 16GB model for $99, or the 32 GB model for $149, have the option to be notified by Hewlett-Packard when the TouchPad is back in stock: “Due to the significant price reduction, we experienced overwhelming demand for the product and are out of inventory. Please enter your email address below to be notified as soon as we have them back in stock.”

Electronic retailer Newegg currently has HP TouchPad tablets in stock on their website, but their prices have not been lowered as of yet.
