HTC First With Facebook Home: On AT&T Starting April 12, For $99

HTC First will be the first phone to be shipped with Facebook’s new Home mobile launcher.

AT&T will begin selling it exclusively starting on April 12 for the cost of $99.99, with a contract.

The phone features a 4.3-inch 720p display, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip operating Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 5-megapixel camera.

While it might not be the latest or fastest Android phone, it will be an especially nice device for those seeking a new form of social experience.

The HTC First will come in four colors – red, white, light blue and black. The phone will be able to run on AT&T’s LTE 4G network if users are in an area where the network is available.

Facebook’s Home interface will allow users to use Facebook or Facebook messaging immediately. It also allows users to run apps with overlays such as “Chatheads,”which an app for talking with Facebook friends regardless of what they are doing on the phone.

Those that already have the HTC One X, HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III, the Galaxy Note 2 or the new HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 will be able to download the Home launcher on April 12 from the Google Play store.
