Warner Brothers announced the Thirty Seconds To Mars, front man, Jared Leto has been cast to portray Joker.
Jared Leto joins an all star cast for the upcoming DC Comic movie: The Suicide Squad.
The Oscar winner will share the screen with Will Smith and Tom Hardy.
Will Smith, who starred in the super hero hit Hancock, is set to play Deadshot, A sniper with no love of Batman.
Tom Hardy, known for his role in The Dark Knight Rises, returns to the world of superheroes, and will portray Rick Flagg, the leader of the suicide squad.
The other members of the Suicide Squad are: Boomerang, played by Jai Courtney, Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie, and Enchantress played by Cara Delevingne.
Jared Leto has a tough job ahead, as he is the first to take on the role of the Joker, since Heath Ledgers insanely compelling character in The Dark Night.
Suicide Squad will begin shooting next April in Toronto, and is expected to hit theatres in August 2016.
The story is centered on a group of super villains given a second chance in exchange for completing an impossible mission.
