The flood of orders since the announcement in Canada has led to all the online vendors there being sold out. Future Shop and Best Buy Canadian web sites are already empty of inventory. Stateside, Target has the Touchpad listed for $99 and also marked out of inventory. Amazon still had over 30 in stock, but has not yet marked the price down. Best Buy’s American site also has not dropped the price yet, but is already marked Sold Out Online. Every web site listing it with the $99 price is currently out of stock, sold out, or listed as not available online. It’s being reported that brick and mortar stores may be the best bet for taking advantage of this deal. Best Buy received an especially large shipment of the units when they first became available in July.
