Nintendo has announced that they will be releasing a 3DS XL bundle this December that comes pre-installed with Mario Kart 7.
The bundle, which officially hits stores on December 2, 2012, will feature a blue 3DS XL system and a digital copy of the latest installment to the popular kart racing franchise.
Best of all, the bundle is hitting stores with a suggested retail price of $199.99. Since a 3DS Xl is normally $199.99, and Mario Kart 7 sells for $39.99 as a standalone title, shoppers will essentially be getting the game for free.
The bundle is very similar to the one Nintendo released on November 23, 2012 for black Friday. That package came with a Flame Red 3DS system and a preinstalled copy of Super Mario 3D Land for only $169.99.
In case you missed out on Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS, check out the description from the official press release:
“Mario Kart 7 lets karts race through the air and under the sea for the first time. On big jumps, karts deploy a wing to help them glide over the track. When karts dive underwater, a propeller pops out to help the kart cruise across the sea floor. Players can customize their vehicles further to enhance their driving style or play to certain types of terrain and even race as their own Mii characters. Multiple courses challenge players to race for the checkered flag.”
