One of the latest entries into the Apple App Store Hall of Fame is Orbitz’s mobile app.
These days, it seems that the once sought-after moniker, “Hall of Fame Member” is somewhat passe. Ask yourself, when is the last time you heard of someone being inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame, or the Baseball hall of fame, or, for that matter, the Bowling hall of fame.
In today’s world of electronic gadgets and fast-paced news cycle, it is rare that we hear of a hall of fame induction.
Well, there is a more modern hall of fame to be aware of and one that is relevant to the tech-savvy.
Apple has been highlighting the very best apps for their iDevices for a couple of years now. You may have seen more apps offering the credential as being part of the App Store Essentials: Hall of Fame. This hand selected group is aimed at presenting the “very best of the best” and contains 50 apps for iPhone and iPad, both paid and free, for download at the App Store.
The Orbitz app is designed for planning, coordinating, tracking, and staying updated on your travel plans. And with the major holiday travel season about to ramp up, this app is sure to get more exposure and downloads due to this latest accolade.
