ParaNorman On DVD Nov 27, Pre-ordering Avail Now

A zombie comedy for the whole family.

ParaNorman will be coming out on DVD and Blu-ray on November 27.

The movie, which was in theaters last August, is an animated feature that follows the story of Norman.

Norman has a special gift. He can see and speak to ghosts and zombies.

Norman (Kodi Smit-McPhee), is not exactly the the most popular kid in town. Even Norman’s dad is exasperated with his strange ways. When Norman tells his dad, Perry that his dead grandmother says to turn up the heat, Perry roars that “she’s dead!”

Norman also lives with his self-absorbed sister, Courtney, and his peace keeping mother, Sandra (Leslie Mann). Apparently Norman has a disowned uncle who also has the ability to see and speak to ghosts. Norman is not supposed to speak to him and refers to him as Mr. Prenderghast (John Goodman). Maybe Mr. Penderghast is not as crazy as everyone thinks.

It seems Norman is the town’s only hope as it is supposedly cursed by a witch. Mr. Prenderghast dies and appears as a spirit to Norman, revealing that the curse is real. Mr. Prenderghast makes Norman swear to stop the witch’s curse from taking over the town.

The townspeople go wild as zombies chase down Norman and destroy whatever is in their path. It appears that folks in the town are fans of The Walking Dead, as they destroy the zombies by attacking their heads!

ParaNorman is marketed as a family feature. However, reviews on Amazon, where it is now available for pre-ordering, are mixed on that point. The film is rated PG.

ParaNorman is also available for pre-ordering at BestBuy.com, Sears.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, and other major retailers.
