As of Saturday morning, October 6, VOIP phone service provider Phone Power is experiencing an outage affecting outbound calls.
According to their customer service, the outage affects outbound calls.
On our test line here at CP, when an outbound call is attempted, we get a recording that says “Your call can not be completed at this time.” According to the service rep, inbound calls are not affected, though she said more information would be available once the issue is confirmed. We were directed to a link, http://www.phonepower.com/NetworkStatus.aspx for further details
According to the status page, Phone Power experienced a similar problem with outbound calls yesterday, for a “brief” time.
Phone Power had a major outage back in May of this year. Phone Power attributed that also their website, which left customers with no way to contact the company. That outage affected calls for approximately 7 hours.
