A spokesman for the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has confirmed that two runways are now open at the airport.
All flights in and out of the airport were closed earlier today after a Boeing 777, Asiana flight 214, crashed on landing in San Francisco.
The crashed occurred at approximately 11:26am local time. Shortly thereafter, incoming flights were diverted to other airports and departing flights delayed.
Three hours after the crash, information concerning where flights have been diverted to, and when outgoing flights will resume, is still hard to come by.
AT 3:30pm SFO announced through their official twitter account that 2 runways have reopened.
They have not indicated whether incoming or outgoing flights are being given preference. They do ask that those affected contact their airlines for updated flight statuses.
We have posted the websites of a number of major SFO carriers here.
SFO has also confirmed that their official website is down due to high traffic.
