The Bachelorette is Back!

The lovely lady that stood up to Juan Pablo on the 18th season of The Bachelor is returning to ABC tonight for her own chance at finding love.

After Juan Pablo’s tough-to-watch season, Andi will (hopefully!) bring the fun back to The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. Here are the top reasons why she’s going to be one of the best yet.

1. We know she isn’t scared to speak her mind. She stood up for herself and the other ladies during last season of The Bachelor, so this season you can look forward to watching a confident, strong woman on the screen. She knows what she wants, and she won’t be afraid to make herself clear. We can all appreciate a woman that already knows what she needs from a guy.

2. She’s smart! Andi is the Assistant District Attorney in her Georgia County. She graduated from LSU and Wake Forest Law school, two feats that are incredible on their own. But paired with her outer beauty, this gal is made for TV. It’s refreshing to see such an accomplished woman (especially at such a young age!) flaunt more brains than body on the screen.

3. She seems to be headed in a new direction. While The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise has entertained for nearly two decades, the track records of married lovebirds…is not so stellar. Speculation that it’s impossible to fall in love on TV, in 2 months, with a person who is dating 10 other people isn’t crazy, but Andi hopes that she can find a lasting connection and not just a physical spark.  In her pre-season interviews, she said: “You will not see a lot of hot-tub scenes; it’s not really my thing. But I feel like you can be sexy by being romantic and it doesn’t need to involve bikinis and hot tubs.”

Andi’s season of The Bachelorette premieres tonight, May 19, at 8 p.m. on ABC. Will you tune in for this season? Stay tuned for a recap of each episode by yours truly!
