AMC announced tonight that The Walking Dead season 3 premiere is now available online, via streaming, for free.
No registration or code is required to watch the first episode of season 3 on their site.
The season 3 premiere episode first aired on AMC last night. AMC said this will be the only show this season to be put online the day after the original air date.
They also stated that this episode (‘Seed’) would only be available streaming for a limited time. They did not provide an end date. The episode is available here.
Along with the announcement, AMC included a note saying “DISH subscribers: You’ll need to get a new TV provider to watch future episodes this season.” This a reference to the now long standing dispute between DISH and AMC. We first told you about the disagreement, and the removal of AMC from the DISH lineup, back in June.
In related news, AMC also announced today that The Walking Dead Social Game has been updated with a new chapter and new features.
According to AMC, the game now includes a full screen mode and improved weapons. Chapter 2 has players fighting zombies in the streets of downtown Atlanta, along with Glenn, Daryl and other characters from The Walking Dead series. Chapter 1 must be completed to get to Chapter 2. The Walking Dead Social Game is available through Facebook.
