Tonight We Bid Farewell To David Letterman

After 33 years, late night comedian David Letterman will air his last show tonight.

Letterman manned the desk of NBC’s Late Night with David Letterman for 11 years, then spent the next 22 years as host of CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman.

Conan O’Brien, who replaced David Letterman at NBC in 1993, tributes his success in late night talk shows to David’s help and support.

Conan wrote an essay for Entertainment Weekly about his admiration for Letterman. You can read that essay here.

Be sure to tune in to the Late Show with David Letterman tonight, as I’m sure it’ll be a great television event.

I, for one, will be sure to miss Letterman and his anti-talk-show-host approach to late night.
