Walmart 1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee Registration Deadline Extended

Walmart 1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee Registration Deadline Extended

The deadline for registering items in Walmart’s 1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee program has been extended.

Walmart’s 1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee program provided Black Friday shoppers with an in-stock guarantee card if an item sold out in the store within an hour of going on sale.

The item is then to be made available to the shopper, at that store, before Christmas.

But as Consumer Press has reported over the last two days, a large number of shoppers have experienced problems registering their 1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee cards through Walmart’s website.

CP readers have reported issues with the registration page timing out, lack of an access code on receipts, the codes on the guarantee card being short of numbers, PIN numbers being difficult to read on the receipt, access codes being identified as invalid, and being asked to pay again during the registration process.

Many readers who called Walmart’s customer service line at 1-877-745-0190 reported that they were disconnected after being on hold for a long time.

This morning, Walmart’s helpline recording indicates the deadline for registering the cards on their website has been extended until Wednesday, December 4, at 11:59 PM CST.

The previous deadline had been tonight (December 1) at 11:59 PM CST.

Cards that are not registered on Walmart’s website by the deadline become standard gift cards, and are no longer good for purchasing the guaranteed item at the Black Friday sale price.

Consumer Press has reached out to Walmart’s media contact, requesting additional information and recommendations for shoppers experiencing problems with Walmart’s 1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee program. No response has been received.
